Dressed in fashionable frocks accessorised with exquisite bracelets and high-end handbags, partygoers clinked glasses of Campari cocktails. They nibbled on
bruschetta, prosciutto, and other Italian delights to the tune of intimate musicians. The scene was straight out of an Italian fashion magazine. Yet the chalet-dotted mountains were pure Switzerland.
From 21st July to 24th August, The Alpina Gstaad was lavished with the La Dolce Vita lifestyle at a beautifully curated aperitivo by Bvlgari. Each Thursday evening at The Alpina Lounge and Terrace, the soirées welcomed clients of the hotel and the luxury Italian brand to celebrate summer together in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere — a true reflection of Bvlgari and The Alpina Gstaad’s spirit.
The aperitivo was born from Bvlgari’s desire to bring their La Dolce Vita lifestyle to the Swiss Alps. “Gstaad, with its unique balance of sophistication, exclusivity and understated elegance, offered the perfect setting,” explains Valerie Kaplan, Senior Marketing & Communication Manager of Bvlgari Switzerland. “Partnering with The Alpina Gstaad, we created a series of refined aperitivo evenings that combined Italian conviviality with the serene beauty of the Alps.”
To bring the event to life, Bvlgari produced short teaser videos with local talents from the Bvlgari Swiss Alliance — a selective collective of talented, authentic, and influential individuals that embody the Maison’s spirit in Switzerland. “This added a personal touch, a way to connect guests to Bvlgari in a lively and engaging way,” says Valerie, reflecting Bvlgari's desire to create memorable moments for its exclusive clients — and those of The Alpina Gstaad.
Beloved by luxury fashion houses and private clients, the brilliant fashion illustrator Anne Blachut added her signature style to the soirée. Live sketching with coloured pencils, she deftly created drawings for guests, including portraits, stylish outfits, and Bvlgari's emblematic jewellery and accessories like the iconic Serpenti bracelet. Guests not only got the chance to witness creativity up close, they left with magnificent mementos to celebrate the evening. Inspired by the straw hats donned in the sun-kissed Italian Riviera, the Bvlgari Aperitivo offered guests their own handembroidered hat. Guests could choose their own inspiration, such as their name or “La Dolce Vita.”
Guests were serenaded by soulful live music, providing a sophisticated soundtrack for their listening pleasure. The swing jazz duo, Emilia Rose Duet, enchanted the crowd with their blend of Italian hits and snazzy interpretations of pop songs. Fittingly from the Rhône-Alps region that borders Switzerland and Italy, the equally gorgeous and talented Emillie Collomb and Melanie Lianes were the perfect ambassadors for this chic soirée. The Jazzy Brothers captivated the crowd with their original songs. Pianist Nando Santana tickled the ivories with panache while saxophonist Ismael K wowed with his impressive improvisation.
Bvlgari and The Alpina Gstaad’s relationship goes way beyond a summer fling. The hotel is home to the brand’s only boutique in Gstaad. “When looking for the right setting, we considered values that truly resonate with our Maison: elegance, authenticity, and discreet luxury,” explains Valerie. “The Alpina Gstaad embodies all of these, making it the best possible partner.” In a refined and intimate atmosphere, the hotel’s international and discerning clientele shop to their heart’s content, choosing from a selection of watches, jewellery, accessories, and some exclusive pieces. This special blend of Italian elegance with the sophisticated spirit of the Swiss Alps adds a unique touch to this Alpine boutique.
